Dinner @ Bayou Timor, Mon't Kiara

After occupying three parking lots in an empty carpark of Plaza Mon't Kiara, I thanked God that we were finally here. Dinner at 10pm, who on earth does that? Haha. Just to give a glimpse of the nightlife around the area - brightly litted, excellent landscaping coupled with the presence of occasional yuppies - ahh.. can't you just feel the vibes of KL city? Tsktsk.

Bayou is the name alright! I totally fell in love with this place the first time I dined here. Great ambience + Balinese furnishing + Javanese cuisine = An overwhelmed Darren before dinner has even arrived on the table. There isn't much choices where the menu is concerned - probably 20 types of main dishes which is listed down on a single piece of paper menu-cum-tableliner. Cheapos! Haha, but hey, portions are pretty generous for sucha swanky restaurant at a prime Mon't Kiara address. Each dish also boasts its own individual and distinctive flavour - absolutely tastylicious!

Two of my current favs - Javanese Ayam Serai & Bayou Chicken and Mushroom Pie. And not forgetting ~~ COFFEE! I actually brought Tricia and IkJin here for coffee last week. Personally, I can almost guarantee that the Javanese brew is by far the best coffee I have ever tasted. Not so gung-ho about Coffee Bean anymore am I? Hehehe. Hwei, shall this be our meeting place this coming weekend? :)
