Botanic Gardens

My first wholesome breakfast in Singapore, breaking away from the rather conventional Polar chicken pies they dispense right outside Raffles MRT. Besides feeling like a pie - I am now an official victim of chain-stores consumerism asshole. An amphi-theatre smacked in the middle of a 'jungle' ~ with a jazz performance happening in during the nite time. Other than the possible blood donation drive with my dearest malaria friends, performances should be great with everyone getting a pretty good view of the theatre.
A man-made swamp for you...
Smacked on the other end of the Botanic Garden is the Halia Restaurant - supposedly serving you funky gingerfied dishes.
Water features isn't exactly the best thing around but hey, two thumbs up for preserving (or rather creating) something like this in a country where land is sparse.

TCC with an Art Gallery

Piece up a couple of random triangular cloth... and here you are... a so-called work of art ... or a blanket from the 60's like some of us would call it.
Looks like a relatively easy piece of art which is unfortunately going for SGD700.
And Shitttt! Coffee ain't cheap!

Al-Fresco dining near Esplanade

Met up with JinFay and CuiPing for some spastic good time.Smacked 2-storeys high, the view just can't get any better :) Although the sight of the office wasn't exactly appetising...

Back in Singapore for the Long Weekend!

Civilisation never felt that good. Muahaha. Yes, this picture... consequences of KahHee, JinFay and I engaging in a duty-free shoppin frenzy in the airport. Thank God our bags were still lying around...

The Empire Hotel

So... this is the 7-Star Hotel that everyone has been ranting about.
At least we didn't have to pay to get into the hotel like Al-Burj in Dubai. Pfft! Presidential Suite costs SGD 25,000 per nite... like WTF?!Now this is a sight you don't get to see that often... especially in Brunei.... yes... I said Brunei! I honestly need to learn how to stitch those panaromic pictures together, but here's the other half of it :P
The hotel's salt water swimming pool... now... that's something new! What were they thinkin'?

Car Supermarket

I thought that cars like these only exist in movies...
The Italian Job recreated...

Our Crib for the next one month...

Because their occupancy rate is 'zero', we got a pretty sweet deal... at least it makes those late nites, working from home, a lil more comfortable ;)No complaints what so ever... way better compared to Centrepoint Hotel, which we were originally placed at.
Here's Bong's room, which came complete with a PC which we will never use anyways...
And here's mine... sharing with Kah Hee. The view outside the window... Brunei's water village~ ~

Destination Brunei

Arr hah! Finally gathered some time for a new post. This week has been a mad rush, last week was just hectic. That itself is an understatement. Today... destination Brunei on a non-existent Labour Day. The only consolation is that the engagement is gonna be pretty exciting and a month of breakaway from Raffles Place (and China Square foodcourt at least).
Adrenaline dropped right down to zero when I peeped out again, minutes before landing... AISEH! Where da fark are all the buildings?! I've been warned by Andrew anyways.
Nevertheless... I've got a great company tagging along on this trip. Will be fun! More updates soon!

OK... someone has gotta remind me that there's a jazz concert organised by the British HighCom next Tuesday & Wednesday at the Cesar Grand Hall. Dun sabo... I'm been deprived from Kakiseni affairs. *Sigh*
