Size Doesn't Matter?!

Disclaimer: This is NOT me in the picture. It's Mr. Desmond-I-like-to-talkcock-Tan.. So the story goes...

There's a giant cock who goes around comparing his size with smaller cocks. He would then do his ritual cockfighting thingie, beating the crap out of other cocks. Dammit, he's big and he's good. That's what he thinks anyways. Running out of challenges, he struts around looking for something with a lil more ooomphh. He took on the horse, the bull, the sheep, u name it, he's kicked their asses. Last stop, the cat.. and finally, the cock met his match. Sore bruises everywhere...

Moral of the story: No matter how big a cock you are, the pussy can always take you on!

Dino in Singapore!

The Londoner popped by Singapore for his Easter break from work, and lazy to even think of places that I can show him around (not that I'm that familiar anyways)... Clarke Quay sounded... umm.. promising enough. Dinner at Tapas Tree at first... and before we headed out for dessert, we had our fair share of poser pics... and vanity pics which would make the Hilton family hand us gratuity for overshadowing their bimbotic future heir of the hotel empire. Obviously I'm gonna post the decent ones only~~ *duh*I know! Of all places.... but was extremely tempted to try...
THIS! Haagen-Daz Chocolate Fondue. I'm telling you, its rubbish with caps on! But somehow, we managed to do some pretty amusing things with it along the way. Again, I shall not elaborate further. *poke poke*

Brunch @ Mennoti's

Mennoti's... supposedly one of the trendiest Italian restaurants in tiny island. And since I have been given the liberty to take some time off before returning to the 3x3 cubicle of mine over the weekend, I might as well make full use of it. Pretty good atmosphere to chill over a cuppa latte over a rainy day, and at the same time... oogle over that lustful Cleo mag of yours with those 50 freakin' bachelors in it (note: the MUCH more eligible ones are too busy out there making money *ahem*).
I.. on the other hand, am spending some money on a relatively decent meal! Very nicely done pasta. Definitely worth a try!
And as part of the set meal, you get to choose your dessert!
The place is just outside Swissotel Raffles. You won't be able to miss that 'roof' they have!

What is your True Colour?

Your color is Black. The color of night. Serene and mysterious, black conjures up images of elegant evening gowns, dashing tuxedos, and gleaming limousines. Traditionally a symbol of success, black also represents power and an uncompromising demand for perfection. Not surprisingly, you tend to set challenging goals for yourself and do whatever it takes to achieve them — your strength of character is second to none.

This unfaltering determination, along with your natural elegance, impresses people. But keep in mind that your personality might be intimidating to some. Try to temper your demanding side with a little softness — trust us, it won't kill you. Overall, though, black is the color of professionalism and achievement, which means it's clearly the color for you.

Walk the Dog @ Changi Beach Park

Having 5 hours of sleep over the weekend is definitely insane. I mean... who would do that rite?! But I wouldn't miss the chance of raiding the beach - even if I had to risk looking like a insomniac panda on Monday morning. Yes, already dreading it! Booo!
Tagged along with Andrew and Aileen to walk Bentley... who is the new addition to the family.
And while they were doing just that, I pulled an artsy-fartsy stunt with my camera once again :p
The view taken at the bridge linking to Changi Village's food haven...
My turn with Bentley. And somehow the first pic looks a lil dodgy. Interestingly, its the first dog I know who enjoys water and swimming!
Slobberin' Bentley laminated parts of the interior on the way home... EeeeEeEeeee!

Lunch @ Changi Village

Chicken Chop HorFun... something unique enough that you won't be able to find it in KL!One of the best Fried Carrot Cake in town!

Rare Sight~

Wahhhh.. Proton!
Possibly a supererogation of national pride...
Possibly a very serious case of neurosis...

Raiding Clarke Quay...

Ahhh... Clarke Quay, started its humble beginnings as a fishing village and was soon turned into a seaport-cum-trading ground. Totally copied our dear Parameswara but what the heck rite! Then it wasn't long before the angmos flooded the street, thought that it might be a perfect place to mingle mingle - both to impress and be impressed... and wahlah... we have one of Singapore's hottest hangout spots! Aisehhh.. By the way, don't trust me on this... History wasn't my forte... at all.
And here's a couple of boat/river taxis ready to depart to Raffles Place, Raffles City, the Esplanade and back. Something to look forward to in the comin' weeks :p Yes... the roof changes colour! And there's the water fountain that shoots out from the ground without any warning. Whoever that was wearing a skirt, standing over one of the camouflaged outlets must have found it really really refreshing... I presume.

Zuma Bar & Grill @ Clarke Quay

Stumbled upon this Mediterranean restaurant along Clarke Quay - after a much heavy debate on whether "Hooters" would serve desserts or a perfect saturday nite out for that matter! Too much flesh for me to handle... Anywaysss...Some super zesty blueberry, raspberry and cranberry Sorbet...wahh... super sour! Makes you hungry as well! Suddenly, that 20 bucks that you've spent on dinner has gone down the drain and the next thing on your mind is mamak. Such gluttony. Well, at least you can see me sideways now... almost like a pregnant Paris Hilton sorta figure. Then there was the Chocolate XTC ... which contains 5 chocolate variations - shapes, sizes and texture. Going clockwise, there's the white chocolate rum-like-tasting mousse in the champagne glass, then the white chocolate ice-cream with a cheese-like texture, milk chocolate jelly, chocolate cookies with sultanas, and just pure dark chocolate!!!

Le Baroque @ Chijmes

Walked out from one restaurant into this one - but it was quite a good decision though, considering that they had this Citibank 1-for-1 promotion for its main dish and tapas! Muahaha! Cuiping's Chicken Kebab with Bageutte... very nicely done! The Seafood Spanish Paella was OK-ish. Really tasted as though the chef masturbated the bottle of tomato ketchup... Freakin' jelak!

Stroll along Chijmes

If you're into alfressco dining bigtime, just step out of Raffles Hotel from CityHall MRT, cross over into Chijmes and choose a freakin' restaurant!
There's this colonial feel about the place, mainly the buildings I guess... and the trishaws. Speaking of which, try not to laugh too hard when you see two male angmos riding on the trishaw with an unfortunate Evergreen Love Song blasting from the pimpin' machine. It's not their fault! Ambience is similar to TheStreet@TheCurve ... but with way more cuisines, and probably not overly-commercialised. Oh, and apparently this was a really old school converted into rows of swanky restaurants and ultra-upmarket flea markets!
Here's the great view of the church right outside the dining area.

Bizarre Conversations: Part VII

This was a conversation I had with Margaret (not her real name) over dinner:

Margaret: Saw your blog today, what's with the Mazda 3 la?
Darren: Damn nice rite!!! Would be great if I could get one!
Margaret: Eh, but isn't the Mazda 3 abit old ar?
Darren: Where got?!
Margaret: Got!!! Today, when I was flipping thru the newspaper, got Mazda 6 already!
Darren: *Kena lock-jaw*
Margaret: Really, now it's Mazda 6 already!

If you read this and still don't quite comprehend it, I probably shouldn't talk to you about cars. Waste my time only:p Hahaha
